This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our expanding Energy Limiting Conditions (ELC) Specialist Team as a Band 4 AHP Assistant Practitioner.
Our team supports individuals with conditions such as ME/CFS, POTS, Long Covid, and other energy-limiting conditions. We take a holistic, empowering approach, helping people understand and manage their symptoms, build confidence, and improve quality of life.
The successful candidate will be provided with a structured and dedicated training period to help integration into the team. Following this, working under the supervision of registered AHP staff, you will deliver treatment plans, support rehabilitation and self-management goals, and assist with safe and effective care planning. You will play a key role in supporting patients through the emotional and psychological challenges of adapting to life with a long-term condition.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
• HNC in Healthcare, Education, or Social Care; or SVQ III in Healthcare, Education, or Social Care; or equivalent experience in a health, education, or social care environment
• Short courses relevant to this clinical role
• Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning
• You will have the adaptability to work in different environments, including, clinic setting, community settings and people's homes, therefore it is essential that you are a car driver.

In this key role, you will:
- Responsible for a delegated clinical caseload of patients whose treatment follows a clear clinical protocol.
- Implements, evaluates and modifies Occupational Therapy treatment interventions.
- Plan and prioritise patient caseload.
- Plan and organise a range of therapeutic activities and deliver prescribed education sessions to selected groups of patients.
What You'll Bring:
- Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
- Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
- Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
- Ability to apply a range of technical and practical skills.
- A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
