THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS

An exciting opportunity at Skye House has arisen for an In-patient Operational Nurse Manager on a 12 month fixed term basis. The post holder is to provide clinical leadership to nursing staff and to provide operational management support to the Inpatient Service Manager by providing visible leadership and delegated responsibility for all inpatient areas.

As an integral member of the senior management team the post holder will support the Inpatient Service Manager to provide clinical nurse leadership, safe and effective management of the nursing resource to ensure robust and safe staffing which minimises clinical and non-clinical risk, clinical governance activity and monitoring which includes care assurance; standards compliance; professional regulation; responding to complaints; staff governance; legislative frameworks; national and board policy/guidelines implementation, monitoring nursing clinical activity and workforce issues and ensuring resource efficiency are critical aspects of the role.

You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Level 1, holding current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
