NHS Forth Valley is responsible for monitoring the health and provision of health care for a population of 284,000 in a mixed urban-rural region of Central Scotland.
Increasingly, the NHS relies on the use of IT systems to improve the care given to patients. The is responsible for the implementation, project management, user training/coaching, and facilitating benefits realisation.
NHS Forth Valley are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our team. We are seeking to appoint a full time, Project Manager (37 hours) with relevant experience in Healthcare IT projects.
A key aspect of your role will be managing the rollout of a number of Digital projects, including our asset refresh programme within NHS Forth Valley, engaging with users (e.g. clinical staff), suppliers and other key stakeholders.
Communication and influencing skills are key personal qualities required. You will already have project management experience and be able to demonstrate excellent business/process analysis skills. Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a related field of work and with relevant qualifications. You should have demonstrable experience in the use of IT. An NHS background with knowledge of clinical IM&T systems used in NHS would be desirable.
We offer hybrid working, which includes a travelling to locations across NHS Forth Valley and working from home.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
