THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS
We are looking for a highly skilled occupational therapist to join the mental health services professional leadership team as Mental Health Services Care Group Lead Occupational Therapist.
You will be HCPC registered and will have a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and preferably a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant area. You will have a proven track record in a leadership role and be able to evidence a commitment to service improvement and preferably a formal Quality Improvement qualification to at least SIFs level.
You will join the North East and East Dun Mental Health Management team and have a core leadership role. You will be professionally responsible for approximately 35wte occupational therapists working across inpatient and community adult and older adult mental health services in north east Glasgow and east Dunbartonshire areas. As well as this, you will provide professional leadership within the integration agendas for occupational therapy. You will work in partnership with operational managers and provide advice on how best to utilise the workforce as well as leading on recruitment and advising on competency and practice issues.
As a key member of the SMT you will contribute to overall developments and the governance agenda and be an active member of the senior team supporting the SAER process.
Given the breadth of this role a car driver is essential.
