NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a Fixed term post for 6 months.
Applications are invited for the above post commencing in March 2026 for 6 months in the first instance. This post is a full time appointment attracting 10Pas. Applicants are required to hold FRSC (Paeds) of the Intercollegiate Board in Paediatric Surgery or equivalent qualifications and be on, or eligible for inclusion in, the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council as a Paediatric Surgeon. Applicants who either possess a CCT are eligible to apply.
Post holders will be expected to participate fully in the departmental educational programme and support trainees. They are expected to have, or be aiming for, recognition of training in line with GMC requirements for revalidation.
To practice medicine in the you need to hold both GMC registration and a license to practice.
