The Role
In the role of Clinical Services Secretary, you will be required to provide a full administrative and secretarial service to a multi disciplinary team including the management of information systems and the co-ordination of the clinical referral system.
In this key role, you will:
- Provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative support including the use of audio/copy typing, photocopying, word processing, the use of management information systems and email to facilitate the smooth and effective running of the department.
- Collect, prioritise and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence and telephone calls on behalf of the team and to initiate action where required to ensure relevant and timely responses.
- Be the first point of contact and to liaise with relatives, carers, clients and other agencies by telephone or face to face to maintain the satisfactory operation of the department.
- Maintain Clinicians diaries where requested.
What You'll Bring:
- RSA3/SVQ3/NC in Secretarial Studies or equivalent.
- Proficient IT Skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft office packages.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and work on own initiative.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
