Nursery Assistant / Support Worker NHS Grampian Nurseries We are pleased to offer applicants the opportunity to join one of our NHS Grampian Nurseries team as one of our Nursery Assistants/Support Worker. Successful applicants will be based at either Little Acorns Day Nursery or Woodend Nursery, supporting the delivery of high‑quality childcare within one of our playrooms. The post holder will contribute to the daily care, learning and development of children aged 6 months to 5 years, supporting planned activities and routines in line with best practice and regulatory requirements. This includes engaging with children at their individual developmental stages and ensuring that these are met through both indoor and outdoor play. These posts would suit individuals who have some previous experience of working with children aged from 6 months up to 5 years and who are motivated to develop their childcare career within NHS Grampian Nurseries. Applicants should demonstrate a caring and proactive approach, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and good communication skills to support children, families and colleagues. Applicants must be willing to work towards, or already hold, the relevant SSSC qualifications for the Support Worker role, such as:
Flexibility is required, with posts working between 6.45am and 6.00pm on a rotational basis.
