We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Nurse Manager to join our Mental Health Services in Moray. This is a key leadership role within the Integrated Mental Health Service, providing senior management and professional leadership to nursing across a wide range of services.
The post holder will lead and support nursing teams across:
- Adult Mental Health (inpatient and community)
- Older Adult Mental Health (inpatient and community)
- Drug and Alcohol Services
- Liaison and Unscheduled Care
This role carries delegated responsibility for specific service areas and a defined portfolio of work, which may include responsibilities extending across NHS Grampian. The post holder will also provide deputy and cross‑cover support for the Lead Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong, visible leadership and professional support to nursing teams across inpatient and community settings.
- Lead on the delivery of safe, effective, and person‑centred nursing care.
- Ensure high standards of clinical practice, staff governance, and quality improvement.
- Contribute to service development, strategic planning, and workforce management.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, partner agencies, and senior managers.
- Support the Lead Nurse through delegated responsibilities and by providing deputy cover as required.
- Ensure effective use of resources and support a positive, compassionate team culture.
About You
We are looking for a dynamic and committed senior nurse leader with:
- Proven leadership and managerial experience in mental health nursing.
- Strong communication, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
- A passion for improving patient care and supporting staff development.
- The ability to work collaboratively across professions and services.
- A flexible and innovative approach to service improvement.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
