The Quality Assurance and Regulation Directorate of Healthcare Improvement Scotland has an interesting and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and positive healthcare professional to lead, manage and deliver a portfolio of high-profile inspections which meet legislative, statutory and national requirements for delivery of care and services to the people of Scotland. This post is with the NHS Inspection Programme.
The post holder is expected to lead multidisciplinary teams to identify, analyse and evaluate practices, systems and policies to support improved outcomes for people using health and care services in Scotland.
As part of the NHS Inspections team, you will be required to deliver and lead on a portfolio of inspections within mental health and learning disabilities services to support the safe delivery of care across Scotland, ensuring that key milestones for inspection programmes are identified and delivered on time and to the required standard.
Essential to the role is recent clinical experience within an acute mental health care setting, and evidence of senior leadership and management experience.
You will be educated to masters’ level or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. mental health or learning disabilities nursing,) and continue to and maintain your professional registration.
Regular travel throughout Scotland will be required (including overnight stays), this may be required at short notice.
