    NHS Forth Valley Prison Healthcare is at an exciting point in it’s journey!

    We are recruiting a Prison Practice Nurse who will be responsible for

    Implementation, coordination and management of long term conditions.

    Development and co-ordination of health promotion and health education materials and programmes to keep patients informed of options available to them and to support self management.

    Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies, protocols and procedures within the Health Centre to ensure the care provided meets local, regional and national guidance.

    Provide clinical leadership, mentorship and supervision where appropriate in support of less experienced staff and students.

    Applicants require specialist chronic conditions management training to at least diploma level or equivalent i.e. Asthma, Diabetes, COPD with provide evidence of experience in managing chronic conditions with the ability to diagnose and educate patients appropriately.

    Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

    As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
