Job Advert

The Walk In Service hosted by Out Of Hours Primary Care (GMED) service is currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join our dynamic and responsive team.

Walk in services are designed to give people same‑day access to urgent primary care without needing an appointment. These services are part of a major national pilot programme supported by the Scottish Government.

You may be a manager who is starting out and is looking to develop further in your career and can see this as a real development opening or you may be an experienced manager who is looking for change and can see this role as an opportunity to move into a different and unique care environment.

As the Walk In Service Operations Manager you will play a key role in the delivery of efficient and effective operations of the service. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.

This post is based in Aberdeen Health Village. Driving licence is an essential requirement as the postholder is expected to travel to various locations across Grampian.

As this post is being offered as a secondment, if you are a current NHS Grampian employee please ensure you seek permission from your current line manager to agree to the secondment in principle prior to submitting your application.

Contract: Fixed term for 12 months.

Closing date: 15th April 2026

Interview date: 27th April 2026 on MS Teams
