The Role
Responsible for the domestic services function within hospital and community premises through the effective deployment of staff resources to ensure effective cleaning methods, the control of infection and the promotion of a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.
In this key role, you will:
- Undertake a full and comprehensive range of domestic duties in a working supervisor capacity.
- Allocation of duties and tasks to Domestic Staff ensuring all areas and departments are provided with the agreed level of service.
- Responsible for the purchase of cleaning materials and consumables ensuring budgetary awareness.
- Responsible for the appropriate stock handling/checks and suitable storage of chemicals in respect of Health & Safety and C.O.S.H.H. regulations.

- A driving licence is required, this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
Working pattern:
The working pattern for this post is: Monday - Thursday 15.30 - 20.00, Friday 15.30 - 19.43
From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
