Lochee Medical Practice – GP Surgery
Fixed Term / Secondment
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) to join our team at Lochee Medical Practice in Dundee for a fixed term period until 31st March 2027 focussing on supporting our Urgent Care Clinic.
Lochee Medical Practice operates under a 2C arrangement within NHS Tayside, and we are looking to recruit a forward thinking and proactive HCSW who will work in partnership with the Practice Manager, Clinical Lead GP, Administration and Clinical teams.
Working within our team you will develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and assist in maintaining high standards of patient care and the development of individual patient care plans.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working as a phlebotomist, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be computer literate, able to use their own initiative and be willing to undertake further training in healthcare as appropriate. Previous experience in General Practice and knowledge of Vision would be an advantage.
The practice continues to deliver the full range of GMS Services with an extensive modernisation programme underway to develop sustainable and effective services. There may be a requirement to work across other 2C practices in Dundee should the need arise.
You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment.
Hours of work are: 15 hrs per week working Saturday and Sunday from 12.00 – 8.00pm.
