Are you considering a new challenge within neonatal care?

Do you have the energy and drive to make a difference to the service we provide to our babies and families?

Do you wish to work in a newly custom designed and built level 3 neonatal unit within the Baird family Hospital opening in 2027?

Aberdeen Neonatal Unit is the North of Scotland tertiary referral centre which has 34 cots for premature and newborn infants with both medical and surgical problems. We provide care for over 700 babies and families per year in our intensive, high dependency and special care nurseries alongside a busy transitional care area and a well-established neonatal outreach service.

As a member of our team, you will be supported to be flexible, reliable and motivated to foster a positive working environment which encourages staff to show initiative and thrive. Quality improvement work is regularly ongoing in our neonatal centre of excellence. There will be an expectation to complete the neonatal course to become a qualified in specialty neonatal nurse as part of the neonatal developmental program.

We are extremely proud to be baby friendly accredited and working towards Bliss accreditation. Family integrated care is the model of care, working in partnership with families, reducing separation and continually empowering families on every step of their journey.

We also operate a regional Neonatal Transport Service.
