Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor to join our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team on a permanent basis.

Applications are sought from individuals with previous experience in the healthcare setting or from those who are interested in rehabilitation of adults with long term conditions.

Hours:

Up to 22.3 per week

From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

What you will do:

This post will be based at Ayrshire Central Hospital, Irvine. The successful applicant will assist qualified Physiotherapy staff in the provision of efficient and effective rehabilitation of patients with chronic respiratory disease. There will be a delegated caseload as part of this work. You will assist with set up and running of exercise classes.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post:

The post will also include non-clinical tasks such as cleaning, administration as well as ordering relevant equipment/supplies.

Applicants should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to demonstrate good communication and motivation skills.
