Lothian Unscheduled Care Service (LUCS)
Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Fixed Term for 12 months
LUCS are excited to be offering and opportunity to highly experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners to join our ever-growing team as Lead ANPs.
These new posts have been created to advance our nursing structure and workforce and provide an exciting opportunity to join LUCS during a period of change. LUCS are committed to continuing to develop the MDT aspects of Unscheduled and Urgent care which is reflected in the development of these posts which show an increased focus on developing the nursing workforce and structure and this new role will play a pivotal part in the success of that. You will work under the guidance and delegation of the Clinical Nurse Manager and be supported to develop into this new role.
This is a great opportunity for experienced ANPs to take the next step in their careers and have an impact on the future care deliver in the Unscheduled Care arena in Lothian over the extended Out of Hours period in line with local and national strategies.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
