An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker to join the team within the Urology Diagnostic and Treatment Centre. The units are based at Queen Margaret and Victoria Hospitals and undertake outpatient work, providing a range of clinics and urological tests and treatments to the residents of Fife.
We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and efficiently. The role involves supporting the clinicians to undertake their clinics by assisting with flexible cystoscopsies and use of other urological assessment tools. You will also be responsible for assisting with the nurse led clinics, undertaking tasks such as catheter changes, trial without catheter (TWOC), and flow and scans, under the direction of the nurse in charge.
You should be enthusiastic, dynamic, caring and compassionate, with a keen interest in urological nursing. You should be self motivated, and strive to deliver high quality patient focused care. Experience within a urology or outpatient setting is desirable, although not essential, as supervision and support will be available to orientate you into the role.
