As the successful post holder you will become part of the Allied Health Professional team and be based in Nairn Town and County Hospital.

To be considered for this post you must hold the relevant Occupational Therapy degrees qualifications and be a member of the Health and Care Profession Council.

You may be a new graduate seeking your first post or have completed rotational posts and seeking a permanent post in rehabilitation services to enhance your skills and abilities.

Previous experience, even at student level, with managing ward in-patients, neurology including stroke and conditions associated with falls and frail elderly would be an advantage.

You will be expected to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnosis and treatments to a diverse range of patients and to achieve this, you will be given support from senior Occupational Therapy mentors and the wider AHP team.

There is a robust supervision system which you will also lead in, when supervising B4 and B3 staff members.

As this post may require community work you must be a UK car driver with access to a vehicle, this is essential to the post.

  • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
