Dental Officer, Band A
Scale: £54,117 - £81,174 per annum pro rata

NHS Tayside is seeking a dedicated Dental Officer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver holistic dental care across diverse settings, supported by a collaborative and experienced team.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Have a varied clinical commitment: From emergency care to paediatric dentistry, supporting vulnerable adults, and providing domiciliary care, no two days are the same.
- Participate in innovative Service Delivery: Work on our Mobile Dental Unit and engage with patients within the justice system, ensuring access to care for all.
- Develop clinical skills: Develop skills in sedation and general anaesthesia, with scope for involvement in complex care pathways.
- Support teaching & Development: Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education, shaping the next generation of dental professionals.
- Participate in service Improvement: Be part of a team that values innovation and continuous improvement in patient care.

Clinical duties will be delivered in line with General Dental Services (GDS) regulations and fully compliant with the Statement of Dental Remuneration, ensuring the highest standards of care and governance.
Applicants must hold full registration with the General Dental Council, hold or be eligible to hold NHS list number and have recent experience in Primary Care dentistry (within the last five years) to ensure up-to-date clinical practice.

Hours of work are: 18.75 per week. Reduced hours will be considered.
The main base for this post will be Springfield Medical Centre, Arbroath but clinical work may be carried out anywhere in Tayside depending on the needs of the service.
