NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 registered general nurse who holds a specialist practitioner qualification (SPQ) in District Nursing to join the community nursing team in the south locality.

Applicants without the SPQ will be considered within a training post. The post holder will be provided with full support to complete the Pg/Dip as part of the MSc in Advancing District Nursing part time over two years through Robert Gordon University or Queen Margaret University College.

You will primarily be based in Kinross although a requirement of the post holder will be a willingness to travel across the locality when required to meet the needs of the service.

The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly to lead the team to deliver safe, effective, patient centred care to every patient between the hours of 8.30am-10pm over 7 days.

You will support by leading the implementation of change and improvement within your team and support the locality team in the delivery of PKHSCP and NHS Tayside’s vision and values.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register
