Distant Islands Allowance of £2,578 pro rata per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance Department at NHS Shetland as a Finance Officer, part of a rotational Financial Accounts team, covering Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Cashiering and other duties.

Working within a supportive and knowledgeable financial accounting team. This role offers excellent exposure to core finance processes within a complex organisation and the opportunity to develop a broad and transferable skill set. This is an ideal role for someone with finance experience who is looking to build a long-term career within the NHS.

The Finance Department at NHS Shetland delivers essential financial services across the organisation, supporting patient care through strong financial governance. The department includes Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Procurement, and Patient Travel, and is based at Board Headquarters in Montfield.
