Our team is expanding. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Specialist Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team based at Willow Drive, Kirkcaldy. The Occupational Health service is committed to providing comprehensive specialist services to NHS Fife’s workforce and clients within service level and contractual agreements including universities and colleges.

Working as part of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of an efficient, effective and high quality service, providing specialist knowledge and Occupational Health expertise to NHS Fife and external clients.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals who possess the ability to inspire and positively influence others. The successful candidate will provide support to service users and colleagues, demonstrate strong leadership qualities, and work collaboratively as part of a team.

You will be responsible for working autonomously undertaking management referrals, pre-placement health assessments, health surveillance, immunisation programmes, providing general occupational health advice and signposting clients.

To carry out the role effectively, you will be IT literate and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have a flexible approach to work, have good time management skills and be capable of working on your own as well as part of a team. Experience of Office 365 and knowledge of using specialist OH systems is advantageous.

This post will be based at Willow Drive, Kirkcaldy but travel across Fife and beyond when necessary is expected.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a registered nurse on Part 1 of NMC register with significant experience within an OH setting.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
