Secondment/ Fixed term to cover Maternity Leave

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Tissue Viability Service for an experienced Registered General Nurse to join the Tissue Viability Team. The Tissue Viability Service covers the whole of Tayside including the acute and community hospitals, Health and Social Care Partnerships and Care Homes. The team are based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee however the post offers the opportunity to work across all sectors and develop tissue viability knowledge and expertise across the region. This post is to cover planned maternity leave within the team and will be 36 hours per week for 9.5 months fixed term or secondment.

The applicant should be an experienced First Level RGN who has worked in the hospital setting or community nursing. You should have experience of managing a variety of wound types, including pressure ulcers and have experience of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy.

You should have a genuine interest in Pressure Ulcer prevention and management as this role is essential in reducing harm from pressure ulcers. An understanding of the local and national agenda’s for Tissue Viability is required. You must be able to work well as part of a team and also autonomously. Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to improving standards of care for patients maintaining confidentiality & professionalism at all times.

*You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register

Hours of work are: 36 hours over 5 days, Monday to Friday work pattern between the hours of 8 am and 4/4.30pm.
