IM&T Senior Infrastructure Analyst

AfC band 6 (£41,608-£50,702) plus a High Secure Environmental Allowance of £1,750.47 per annum

Post Details –

The eHealth department at the State Hospital is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Analyst to join the existing Infrastructure Team.

To contribute to the implementation of the Hospital’s eHealth/ Information Management strategy.

To provide Information Technology support and assistance to staff at all levels within the hospital, by providing hardware and software support and advice to hospital staff. Meeting agreed Service Levels and delivering an effective and efficient end-user support interface for IT equipment/systems used.

Provide the hospital with an acceptable customer based second- & third-line support service through the IM&T department help desk for IT hardware, software faults, enquiries, general help and advice.

Provide out of hours support on a rotational basis.

Experience –

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in a computer related discipline.
  • Experience of working in the NHS is highly desirable.
  • Valid UK driving license - essential.

Experience:

Experience of a variety of Microsoft Windows operating systems, applications and computer hardware is essential as is a familiarity LAN networking and protocols such as TCP/IP.

  • Server hardware upgrades and maintenance.
  • Windows operating systems installation, maintenance and upgrades.
  • PC hardware upgrades and maintenance.
  • Server operating systems installation, maintenance and upgrades.
  • Network Infrastructure maintenance.
  • Working in an IT Support Function.
  • Specific Microsoft core systems, e.g. Azure, Office Suite, SQL Server etc.
  • VMWare.
  • Veeam.
  • Cisco.
  • Dell.
