A doctor appointed to this grade:
shall have full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council (GMC);
And shall have completed at least four years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a less than full-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme or specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT); Or - shall have equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas.

Post Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Specialty Doctor in Acute and General Medicine, based wholly at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of activities within the service, including the Ambulatory Care Clinic and ongoing care on the General Medicine wards. There will be opportunities to learn about quality improvement methodologies and to complete a project within a dedicated time frame. Successful applicants will also be encouraged to enrol in the South-East Scotland Clinical Educator programme and the Lamp Leadership programme.
