About The Organisation

Here at NHS Lanarkshire, we put the patient at the heart of everything we do. Each colleague within the organisation plays a key role in how we deliver our healthcare services.

We proudly serve a population of 655,000 across rural and urban communities in both North and South Lanarkshire. NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Workforce Administrator – eRostering to join the team based at Kirklands. The Post holder will play a key role in the implementation of eRostering across NHS Lanarkshire.
The successful candidate will work closely with the eRostering Project Team providing general administrative and project support along with managing elements of the project to ensure timescales and objectives are met.

Please note this is a fixed term post ending on 31st March 2027. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

In this key role, you will:

  • The post holder will provide first line support to system users and maintain the quality of data between Allocate and other Workforce systems.

  • Support the Workforce Team by managing diaries, arranging meetings/facilities/distributing papers etc, collating data and creating reports and any other administrative tasks.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets/databases/reports in relation to sub section requirements. To collate statistics, create reports and provide these on a monthly basis (i.e. overall progress reports).

What You'll Bring:

  • Post holder should possess an SVQIII in an administrative subject or be working towards this or have an equivalent level of qualification or have demonstrable experience working in an administrative/project assistant or HR role.
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt to the ever changing needs of the service.
  • Interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Excellent keyboard skills and computer skills across a range of software packages.

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.

  • Annual Leave - 35 days including public holidays
  • Generous NHS pension scheme
  • Annual incremental salary progression
  • Paid sick leave increasing with length of service
