Job Advert

An opportunity has arisen for highly motivated experienced Clinical Support Workers to work within Forth Valley Radiology Department between both Forth Valley Royal Hospital and Stirling Health & Care Village.

The Radiology Department provides a high quality, efficient and effective Radiology service to the local population, including General x-rays, Ultrasound, Mammograms, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology and DXA scanning. The Clinical Support Worker role in Radiology is pivotal to the smooth running of each modality, and also providing the excellent standard of patient care expected in NHS FV. This role operates on a rotational basis through each of the modalities noted above, and different skills will be gained by working across the full suite of areas. Your roster will reflect the mix of areas and full engagement with each area is expected.

Candidates will be trained to carry out assigned tasks, including cannulation, which is a predominant skill for this role. Working as part of each multi-disciplinary team you will be involved in care under the direct and indirect supervision from many of our imaging professionals such as a Sonographer, Staff Nurse, Radiologist, Radiographer or Clinical Technologist. Experience in working in a clinical health care setting is essential and basic IT skills are required.

Any training required if successful will be delivered locally. We have opportunities for development, and require fully flexible candidates with a positive teamwork approach.

For informal enquiries please contact Jennifer Fleming, Imaging Team leader, telephone 01324 567050

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information on this scheme can be found at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
