Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Immunisation Staff Nurse based at North Ayr Health Centre. This post is offered on a permanent secondment basis.

Hours:

22.2 hours per week.

From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

UK Driving Licence:

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

What you will do:

You will work as part of the Children and Families Health Team, based within South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership. You will participate and support the delivery of the children/young people Immunisation Programme within GP Premises, Community and Educational establishments in line with the Public Health agenda. You will deliver Immunisation services, ensuring high quality patient centred provision which is responsive to personal and local need.

You will provide high quality nursing care / support and advice to children and young people, their parents/carers.

There is a requirement for lone working and travelling distances within the locality

Requirement to work within a team and be flexible with hours.

Registered Nurse

Experience

Demonstration of communication skills

Demonstration of Organisational and motivational skills

Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team promoting integrated nursing approaches
