What we are looking for?
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for good governance, public service, and making a meaningful impact in health and social care? We are seeking an exceptional individual to join us as Head of Corporate Governance & IJB Secretary. This is a pivotal role within the Business Enabling portfolio, supporting the Chief Officer/Director and Integration Joint Board (IJB) to deliver high standards of governance, transparency, and accountability across the organisation.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
• Proven senior leadership experience in a complex public sector environment.
• Deep expertise in corporate governance, internal control, and risk management.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to influence at the highest levels.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to navigate politically sensitive and high-profile issues.
• A commitment to ethical standards and continuous improvement.
You will be a trusted advisor to the IJB Chair, Chief Officer/Director, and senior leadership team, ensuring the organisation operates within its legal and statutory frameworks, and that governance systems are robust, responsive, and future-focused.
This is a high-impact role requiring resilience, diplomacy, and a proactive approach to shaping governance and supporting transformation across health and social care services.

Hours of work are: 36 hrs
Location: Flexible hybrid working pattern arrangement from home and base, the office base is Fife House, Glenrothes, Fife.
Terms & Conditions
The Appointments Panel will make an offer on either Local Government or NHS terms and conditions, including salary. This will determine the pension scheme. Please see separate documents regarding terms and conditions for NHS Fife and Fife Council.
Post Status: Permanent Grade
Fife Council FC10 or NHS AFC Band 8B
