The role:
The Community Mental Health Team are looking to recruit a Band 6 CPN to their team, based in Goldenhill Resource Centre.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of their own caseload, as well as the management and supervision of trained and untrained staff, within the Nursing Team.
The post holder will provide comprehensive, specialist nursing care to clients with often complex health and social needs within a defined geographical area.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
This is a permanent post
This is a 36 hour post working Monday-Thursday from 09.00 am - 16.45pm and Friday – 9.00 am - 16.30 pm
You will be based at Goldenhill Resource Centre, 199 Dumbarton Road, Clydebank, G81 4XJ
Key responsibilities:
You will undertake comprehensive mental health and risk assessments, developing, implementing and reviewing person-centred care plans to support service users. The role involves delivering psychological interventions in line with best practice and NICE guidelines, as well as administering medication and monitoring physical health where required.
You will act as a named nurse for a defined caseload, coordinating care across agencies to ensure continuity and high standards of care. The postholder will be expected to respond to crisis situations and provide increased levels of support when necessary.
In addition, you will provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff and students, while contributing to ongoing service development and quality improvement initiatives.
You will be responsible for maintaining your NMC registration and adhering to the NMC Code at all times. Participation in clinical audit, reflective practice and continuing professional development activities will also form an integral part of this role.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- First level Registered Mental Nurse
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills
- Ability to fulfil main duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description.
- Current Driving licence
