PRIMARY CARE CONTRACTOR OFFICE
DENTAL PRACTICE ADVISOR (1 SESSION PER WEEK)
PERMANENT
Applications are invited from suitably qualified General Dental Practitioners for this position in the Primary Care Contractor Office (PCCO) based at Mainpoint, 102 West Port, Edinburgh, EH3 9DN.
The successful candidate will contribute to and promote the improvement of overall quality of care in NHS General Dental Practice, act in a supporting and advisory capacity (including clinical advice) to all General Dental Practitioners and advise the Primary Care Contracts Office on all matters relating to General Dental Services in close liaison with other professional staff. Applicants must be qualified dental practitioners and have extensive experience of general dental practice with a good understanding of the regulations covering general dental services.

Pay details:
British Dental Guild Rate 2025–26 (Scotland & UK-wide)
£400 per session (3.5 hours)
This is the official BDG rate, backdated to 1 April 2025.
A “session” = 3.5 hours Maximum payable per day = 2 sessions (£800) Teleconference rate = £115 per hour, capped at £400 per half‑day and £800 per day
