The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced staff nurse to work within the Cumbernauld Locality Community Nursing Service.

You are required to be a registered Nurse, with Community Nursing experience. You should have excellent communication skills and extensive clinical expertise and knowledge are essential, as well as a desire to assist the Community Nursing Team to deliver a high quality service.

The post will include working weekends and public holidays and you must have an ability to provide evening cover as required.

A car driver is essential.

In this key role, you will:

The post holder is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning and implementation of programmes of care. These will be developed in partnership with patients, family, carers and significant others, and will be evidence based taking into consideration the lifestyle, race, gender and cultural background, and factors which impact on physical, mental or emotional health.
Contribute to the development of local policies and guidelines and promote effective health improvement in a community setting

What You'll Bring:

Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent time management skills
Working knowledge of basic information technology

A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
