Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)
Heilendi Practice, Kirkwall, Orkney
Hours: 37.5 per week (part‑time considered)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £52,845 – £61,466 per annum (pro rata)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our friendly, forward‑thinking GP practice in Orkney.
Heilendi Practice is a 5,500‑patient practice, based at The Balfour Hospital, Kirkwall, with branch surgeries in Shapinsay, North Ronaldsay and South Ronaldsay. We are a GP and undergraduate training practice with a strong focus on education and quality improvement.
The successful applicant will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team comprising 8 GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, a Healthcare Assistant, and an experienced administrative team.
The role involves advanced clinical assessment, autonomous decision‑making, independent prescribing, acute illness management and chronic disease management, with appropriate GP and MDT support.
Applicants should have:
- Experience working in General Practice
- A recognised Advanced Practitioner qualification
- V300 Independent Prescriber qualification
