We are advertising a permanent post as Senior Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (0.7wte) to join the Psychology service within our Renfrewshire Community Mental Health teams, based at Dykebar Hospital in Paisley. We are in the midst of merging Paisley CMHT and West Renfrewshire CMHTs, incorporating redesign for efficiency as well as innovation in our care and treatment pathways. The Psychology staffing in Community Mental Health Services currently comprises Consultant Clinical Psychologists, a Senior Principal Clinical Psychologist, Principal Clinical Psychologists and CBT therapists, all embedded within our integrated multidisciplinary teams.
Applications are invited from Clinical and Counselling Psychologists registered as such with the HCPC, with experience in adult mental health. Experience in community mental health settings is desirable.
The successful candidate will join the wider Renfrewshire Psychology service comprising staff in our CMHTs and Inpatient Services (Adult Mental Health). The post holder will be well supported as part of the Clyde-wide Psychology staffing, and have access to a range of professional development and CPD opportunities. The post holder will provide specialist clinical supervision and training to MDT staff delivering psychological interventions within the service and contribute to service audit and evaluation. The post holder will receive support and management and clinical supervision from a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
Applicants should have post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996), post-doctoral clinical experience and training, and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. Post-qualification experience in Adult Mental Health is essential.
