The role:
Are you a skilled dietitian with the passion and energy to demonstrate excellence in supporting children - and their families and carers - who are impacted by diagnosed eating disorders, and by other mental health and neurodevelopmental diagnoses impacting on eating behaviour, dietary intake and nutritional status? - Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
- Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours
Key responsibilities:
An exciting part of this role is the quality improvement focus, and you will be encouraged to develop robust, evidence-based screening and assessment processes, therapeutic tools and targeted support methodologies, whilst also engaging in collaborative learning, coaching and mentoring with colleagues across the areas you work. The dietetic service in Greater Glasgow and Clyde has a strong commitment to effective and accessible supervision, wellbeing support and development of all colleagues working within the service. You will join and enhance an experienced team of dietitians across Specialist Children's Services, where you will meaningfully contribute to the further development of an effective clinical supervision and reflective practice network, to support you in your role as well as your colleagues across your professional community.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
As an HCPC-registered dietitian, you will work as part of a well-established, multidisciplinary inpatient team within Specialist Children’s Services, with support from a senior leadership team who fully embrace creative ways of working. You will have experience of realistic medicine in practice, and of providing person-centred care which makes a real difference to physical and mental health outcomes. Together with your colleagues, you will deliver on a shared purpose to ensure the very best possible care to service users and their families and carers.
A background in mental health and/or children and young people services is preferable, but all experience will be considered.
