Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse within the Gynaecology In patient ward at Ayrshire Maternity Unit, University Hospital Crosshouse. This is a fixed term/secondment opportunity post for 12 months.
Hours:
22.5 hours per week.
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
What you will do:
You will be responsible for delivering high quality patient care without direct supervision to service users accessing Gynaecology Services. The post offers the successful applicant opportunities for skills development in a wide range of Gynaecology procedures

Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post:
You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, time management and organisational skills.
It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have post registration experience preferably within an acute ward environment
This is a 24 hour 7 day a week flexible rotational work pattern. There may at time be a requirement for staff to rotate in other areas within all Gynaecology services including out patient services.
