£52,845 - £61,466 (Band 7)
Full-time (36 hours per week)
Fixed-term contracts/secondments until March & June 2027
Edinburgh or Glasgow – hybrid working will apply for the foreseeable future
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Shifting the Balance of Care team as an Improvement Advisor. The team works with external and internal partners to deliver a range of quality improvement and implementation programmes that help health and social care services enable people to spend less time in hospital through:
- improved management of conditions
- improved access to planned care, and
- implementing alternative models of unscheduled care.
We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and positive individuals to be part of the team that delivers our quality improvement and implementation support directly to health and social care services. Our support offers currently includes:
- Focus on dementia.
- Focus on frailty.
- GP walk-in centres.
- Hospital at home (adult and children services).
- Improving access to integrated care.
Candidates should be educated to degree level and either hold a master’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent knowledge and have significant experience in improving services in health and social care using quality improvement methodologies. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate experience of applying a range of improvement methods within different contexts, using data to drive improvement and support a wide range of stakeholders in a health and social care setting to change how they deliver care. As a natural communicator, the successful candidates will relish the opportunity to network effectively, develop positive relationships across the system and engage and support people to achieve change.
