Fixed Term/Secondment
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 6 Midwives to work in NHS Tayside, within the Dundee Community Midwifery Team. We are looking for innovative midwives who are passionate about providing excellent care in all birth settings, to join our friendly, supportive and motivated midwifery team.
Our Community Midwifery Team care for women in our alongside midwife unit, at home and in antenatal clinics based in Dundee. This as an excellent opportunity to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team within the Dundee Community Midwifery Unit and work collaboratively to promote the delivery of evidence-based women centered care.
There are various contract hours available with a commitment to cover a mixture of dayshifts, nightshifts and on call.

We deliver our midwifery services across our three sites within NHS Tayside; Ninewells Hospital in Dundee with inpatient services, labour suite and Dundee Midwifery Unit, Perth Community Midwife unit and Arbroath Community Midwife unit in Angus. We provide community support in the midwifery units, home and GP surgeries. We also have a vibrant maternity triage and day assessment unit.
Tayside occupies an enviable location on the east coast of Scotland with rivers, hills, mountains and rolling countryside right on our doorstep, as well as vibrant urban areas. The V&A Museum of Design recently opened in Dundee and is an international centre of design and the centre piece of Dundee’s innovative new waterfront development. This, along with Tayside’s great links to all other major cities in Scotland, means the area can offer employees plenty of choice when it comes to both accommodation and opportunities of things to do in the pursuit of the right work-life balance. You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register
