Senior Nurse - Cardiology
Band 8a – FULL TIME
Clinical Care Group 2- Elective Medicine
An exciting opportunity exists for a nurse leader to join the Medicine Division as a Senior Nurse.
This role combines the management and co-ordination of care across a variety of specialties including Cardiology; Respiratory; Gastroenterology; Rheumatology; Diabetes; Endocrinology, Infectious Diseases; Immunology patients within Ninewells Hospital and Perth Royal Infirmary. You will provide strong leadership and operational management across the clinical teams, providing assurance to the Clinical Care Group triumvirate that safe, effective and high quality care is delivered to the population of Tayside.
Initial portfolio will be Cardiology but may be subject to change in the future following service redesign.
Some out of hours/ weekend working with an on call element is required.
Applicants should be registered on either Part 1 or Part 12 of the UK NMC Register and have extensive experience at a senior leadership level, with a proven track record of improving care for patients and innovating practice.
Ideally you will be educated to Masters level or equivalent, demonstrating an understanding of quality improvement and service development, across a variety of nursing environments to a level of seniority commensurate with this post
