Band 2 - Salary Range £26,696 - £28,988 per annum
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,578 per annum
Generic Support Worker – Hotel Services (Non‑Clinical Role)
We are looking to recruit Generic Support Workers to join the Hotel Services Department at NHS Shetland. These are non‑clinical support roles that play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment across NHS Shetland sites, in line with NHS Scotland national standards.
You will be part of a dedicated team delivering essential Cleaning, Catering and Laundry services across the organisation.
Although the role is primarily Monday to Friday, flexibility is required to support evening and weekend working as needed. Night and weekend shifts attract enhanced pay.
We are looking for candidates with good communication skills who are flexible, reliable and able to work well under pressure. Full training and induction will be provided during the initial days of employment, followed by ongoing support from experienced colleagues until you are fully competent in all areas of the role, including relevant procedures and documentation.
A full driving licence is desirable, as you may be required to cover areas out with the hospital.
