Trainee Health Visitor Positions Band 7 Annex21- Aberdeenshire/Aberdeen City

We have an exciting opportunity for an NMC Registered Adult/Paediatric/Mental Health Nurse or Midwife to develop a career in Health Visiting within NHS Grampian. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have the capacity and desire to undertake the post graduate MSc Advancing Practice Course – Health Visiting course full time route. We have three posts in Aberdeenshire, based in Garioch, Formartine and Buchan and 3 posts in Aberdeen City (base to be decided on appointment)


Throughout the duration of the course, you will be embedded within the existing Health Visiting Team who deliver the Universal Health Visiting Pathway. You will work alongside experienced health visitors and the wider team to support you to develop and consolidate your academic learning into practice.


We are looking for candidates to enter onto the one year full time Robert Gordon University Advanced Practice Course which will commence in September 2026.

As part of the RGU course there is a requirement to complete 2 clinical placements to enable consolidation of academic and clinical learning as stipulated by NMC to ensure required clinical learning hours are achieved. Therefore, all annual leave must be taken out with the clinical practice placement times.
