The Role
The post holder carries continuing responsibility for the operational management and decision making for flow and capacity throughout NHS Lanarkshire. The post holder also has authority and responsibility for ensuring that processes are in place for the management of flow and capacity, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes to improve flow and capacity and improve standards of care.
In this key role, you will:
- Have responsibility and authority to assess determine and maintain standards of service and patient care, including contributing to audit, service review and standard setting and its implementation and evaluation within the designated department
- Authorise and ensure the development, implementation and monitoring of local policies and protocols
- Authorise and ensure processes are in place to successfully manage flow and capacity throughout
- Support the work of improving flow and capacity and support any national pilot projects where applicable
What You'll Bring:
- Educated to degree level with a willingness to undertake a Masters degree
- Demonstrable experience at a senior level in health care
- Evidence of advanced improvement methodology training and application
- Experience in a management role – proven leadership skills and experience are essential
