Come and work with us!

We are a modern, progressive Finance Department that prides itself on re-shaping the role of the traditional Accountant, and playing our part in ensuring “everyone has the best care experience possible” in line with the Board’s vision.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for anyone who wishes to pursue a career in Public Sector Finance as a Senior Management Accountant. This role offers the chance to develop your career in a fast paced, complex and rewarding environment, where we actively support our staff’s learning and development.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the development of and implementation of finance strategies and processes which support the wider organisation’s clinical and other strategies. As a member of the finance team, you will assist in supporting the organisation to deliver care to the population of Tayside, whilst ensuring strong financial management within the Board.

This role involves working within a team of motivated and forward thinking professionals in Management Accounting, whilst also working in parallel with a broad range of services. You will manage a team in providing a comprehensive financial management service to ensure effective budgetary control and financial balance, demonstrating your proactive approach, initiative and ability to prioritise workload.

Eligibility to Work in the UK

To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service.

As part of the pre-employment checks for a preferred candidate, NHS Scotland Boards will check your entitlement to work in the UK. It can be evidenced through a number of routes including specific types of visas as well as EU settled and pre-settled status.

For specific types of post, if you do not have the necessary eligibility to work in the UK, it might be possible (though not guaranteed) to secure sponsorship via a UK Skilled Worker Visa. However, this is only possible if the employer is a licensed Sponsor, and if the post does not fall below the minimum salary threshold.

It is essential that you have checked that you either already have an appropriate right to work in the UK or that the post would be eligible to be sponsored BEFORE submitting your application form.

Further Details

This post is full time 36 hours and requires the successful candidate to be primarily office based; however flexible hours / working will be considered.
