We are seeking a Band 3 Healthcare Support worker to join our team in ward 26 to work within unscheduled Specialist Surgery Ward Ninewells. Ear Nose and Throat, Oral Maxillo-Facial, Plastic Surgery and burns, Breast, dermatology, and Ophthalmology patients are looked after within ward 26.

Ideally, we are looking for an individual with good communication Skills and the ability to work as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will carry out duties for patients, carers, and relatives in support of and supervised by the Registered Nurses.

Experience in working within a caring environment, played a role or having a recognised equivalent healthcare qualification would be an advantage but not essential. The successful candidates must be willing to undertake any training necessary to meet the demands of the role.

You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment. Information on the Healthcare Support Worker Regulations can be found on NHS Tayside microsite on Staffnet>Our Websites>Healthcare Support Workers.

Hours of work are part-time hours per week worked. Shift patterns day and night shifts (11.50 hours per shift).
