An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Planning, Innovation & Programmes (PIP) Directorate as a
Project Support Officer (Band 5).
This is a key role supporting the delivery of a portfolio of programmes and projects aligned to NHS Grampian’s strategic priorities, including service redesign, improvement initiatives, and transformation programmes across acute and community services.
Working as part of a dynamic and supportive team, you will provide high-quality project and programme support to ensure initiatives are delivered effectively, on time, and in line with governance requirements.
Key responsibilities
As a Project Support Officer, you will:
- Provide day-to-day project support across a range of programmes and workstreams
- Support the development and maintenance of key project documentation (e.g. plans, risk logs, action trackers, highlight reports)
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Prepare clear and concise reports and updates for senior stakeholders and governance groups
- Support programme governance processes, including reporting cycles and assurance requirements
- Track progress against milestones and support the identification and management of risks and issues
- Work closely with clinical, operational, and corporate colleagues across the organisation
About you
We are looking for a motivated and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to develop a career in project and programme management.
You will bring:
- Experience of supporting projects or programmes, ideally within a healthcare or public sector setting
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working with data, documents, and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working with a wide range of stakeholders
