NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. The role:
This is an exciting opportunity to come and join the NHSGGC Corporate Services Team, and deliver a high-quality, robust and compassionate service in a fast-paced and high-profile environment. As one of two Operational Support Managers for Corporate Services, the post holders are the point of contact for the Scottish Government, MPs and MSPs who have enquiries on behalf of constituents about NHSGGC. The post holder will be responsible for the management of their own individual caseload, striving to meet the target deadlines, to ensure good performance. Working on your own initiative and building personal credibility with managers, including to a senior level, to establish trust and confidence, is therefore a vital part of the role. You will be part of a dynamic Corporate Services team, contributing to high-profile work that directly impacts public confidence, organisational reputation and service improvement. This role offers variety, challenge and the opportunity to make a real difference.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- JB Russell House, Gartnavel Royal Hospital
- Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
Key responsibilities:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience with a proven track record of delivering high quality work in a complex environment
- Strong knowledge of the NHS environment and understanding of governance policies procedures and organisational structures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear accurate and professional responses under pressure
- Knowledge of Data Protection Freedom of Information and information governance requirements within a public sector setting
- Ability to manage competing priorities work to tight deadlines and demonstrate sound judgement in complex situations
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence build relationships and work effectively with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
- High level organisational skills with experience of managing systems processes and reporting to support service delivery
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
