The role:

We are looking for a candidate to work within Specialist Children’s Services (SCS) in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, covering Community Paediatrics, CAMHS, and Acute Paediatrics. The role focuses on addressing the health and well-being needs of children, young people, and their families. It includes leading and developing digital processes, digital governance, and innovation within SCS, supporting the service’s ambition to become a digitally enabled environment where staff and service users thrive.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Full-time, Fixed-term for 23 months.

Base location: Templeton Business Centre

Shift pattern: Monday – Friday 9 am-5 pm

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing digital development across Specialist Children’s Services

  • Designing and improving digital processes within SCS

  • Establishing and supporting digital governance

  • Driving innovation and new digital ways of working

  • Ensuring services are integrated so children, young people, and families receive the right support at the right time

  • Communicating effectively and compassionately with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Bringing encouragement, challenge, and digital expertise to the system

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Strong understanding of digital systems, digital governance, and innovation in healthcare

  • Ability to think person‑centred, creatively, and strategically

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Leadership capability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams

  • Commitment to improving health and well-being outcomes for children and young people
