The role:

We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde for a Rehabilitation Physiotherapist to join our innovative Rapid Assessment Link service. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

  • You will be based at Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre, 10 Saramago St, Kirkintilloch, G66 3BF
  • Full Time 36 hours per week, Permanent
  • Part‑time hours may be considered

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialist physiotherapy assessment, treatment and evaluation for patients with complex rehabilitation needs
  • Work autonomously, managing a defined caseload while contributing to multidisciplinary care planning and coordination
  • Support early discharge from hospital and prevent avoidable admissions through effective community intervention
  • Act as a key link between acute and community services, ensuring seamless patient care pathways
  • Provide expert advice, education and support to patients, carers and multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Contribute to service development, clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives within the team
  • Supervise and support rehabilitation assistants and contribute to staff development and training

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Degree or MSc in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration
  • Significant post-graduate experience, including time at a senior level within relevant clinical areas
  • Proven clinical expertise in rehabilitation, including care of older adults, neurology, orthopaedics and respiratory conditions
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning in complex patient care
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and application of learning to clinical practice
  • Full driving licence and willingness to work across community settings
