We are seeking an experienced Mobile Vaccination Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership for the delivery of Scottish Ambulance Service mobile vaccination clinics. You will have managerial responsibility for a regional team and for vehicles/equipment, including the supervision and deployment of staff to ensure high-quality, safe, person-centred care.

About the role

The successful candidate will have experience leading a team of clinical staff and a sound working knowledge of Scottish Ambulance Service policies and procedures. Completion of the online TURAS vaccination modules would be advantageous. E.g. PEIP

Key skills and behaviours

Registered healthcare professional (degree level or equivalent)

Relevant experience in vaccination/immunisation services, with ability to demonstrate appropriate clinical skills and knowledge (including assessment, consent and administration)

Evidence of leadership, teamworking and organisational skills, including supporting recruitment, induction, performance review and staff development

Strong communication, time management and IT skills (e.g., email, reporting, and electronic record systems)

Experience of audit, quality improvement and problem-solving in a clinical setting

Travel and licence requirements

This role is based within the North Region of Scotland, with travel required across Scotland to support clinics in other areas. Frequent long-distance travel and overnight stays will be required. A C1 driving licence is essential, as you will be expected to drive patient transport vehicles.
