Our Orthopaedic Service is at the forefront of lower limb arthroplasty, offering specialist care for patients requiring complex and revision joint replacement surgery. By joining our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of the national revision service while delivering exceptional care to patients with complex needs.
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced healthcare professional to join our team as a Revision Arthroplasty Coordinator (RAC).
This is a pivotal role supporting the day-to-day operational delivery of the revision arthroplasty service. You will coordinate the patient journey, ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and seamless care throughout their pathway—from referral to post-operative follow-up.
Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Coordinate and support the Revision MDT, ensuring accurate patient data and effective communication across teams
- Manage and oversee patient pathways, ensuring timely access to surgery and follow-up care Deliver specialist clinical support through outpatient clinics, including complex wound care and patient review
- Act as a key point of contact for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support education and development across the orthopaedic team
This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously while contributing to the ongoing development of a nationally recognised service.
About You
You will be a passionate and skilled healthcare professional who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Essential requirements include:
- Current professional registration (e.g. UK NMC Pin, HCPC, GPhC)
- Recent experience in orthopaedics, particularly lower limb arthroplasty
- Demonstrated experience in audit, research, or quality improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex patient pathways
You will also:
- Be highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise competing demands
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development
- Show strong leadership qualities, including the ability to support and mentor others
- Have a good understanding of NHS governance, patient safety, and quality improvement principles
